Wire Concealment Policy

This policy explains the difference between external cord covers, in-wall cable concealment, and the limits of hiding wires during TV mounting.

Cord Cover Concealment

A cord cover is an external channel placed on the wall to make wires look cleaner.

Cord covers are:

  • Installed on the wall surface

  • Paintable in most cases

  • Safer and simpler than in-wall routing

  • Not the same as hidden in-wall wiring

In-Wall Concealment

In-wall concealment means routing low-voltage cables inside the wall when conditions allow.

This may include:

  • HDMI cables

  • Optical cables

  • Ethernet cables

  • Speaker wire

  • Other low-voltage media cables

Electrical Power Limitation

In-wall concealment does not include adding, moving, or modifying electrical outlets.

Power cords should not be hidden inside walls unless a proper in-wall rated power solution is used.

When Wire Concealment May Not Be Possible

Wire concealment depends on wall structure and site conditions.

It may be limited by:

  • Fire blocks

  • Insulation

  • Brick, concrete, stone, tile, or exterior walls

  • Fireplace construction

  • Metal studs

  • Hidden pipes, wiring, or framing obstacles

Fireplace Installations

Wire concealment above fireplaces may be limited by wall construction, heat conditions, masonry, or blocked wall cavities.

A clean external cord cover or custom setup may be recommended instead.

Customer Approval

If the selected wire concealment option is not possible, we will explain the issue and provide available alternatives before continuing.
